Seacoast Moderns: Seeing and Affirming the Artist Within

Morgan Gallery, Kittery Community Center
May 11 - August 20, 2021

I'm showing 4 collages at the Kittery Community Center, 120 Rogers Road, Kittery, Maine.

In my collages the viewer is aware of the flatness of the picture plane and the depth of the subject at the same time. With each piece I look for another way to convey a time, space and feeling in simple shapes.

The gallery is open Monday - Thursday 4PM-6PM, Saturday 8AM-2PM and Sunday 8AM-12PM. Please call ahead to visit the gallery, at (207) 439-3800.

Block Prints

I like the simplicity, both in terms of textures and the balance of dark and light.

I combine monoprint textures, watercolor and gouache elements.

I photograph the telling details of human effort, as shown in built spaces, disused signs, surfaces with history.

I make comics out of everything. Check out "Life Was Hard," a memoire zine, and "You Can't Do That With Comics," a zine of experimental comics.
